The main bilateral document in the field of culture is the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the field of culture, science, education, sports and tourism between the governments of Belarus and Iran, signed on July 14, 1995 in Minsk.
In 2003, the Days of Belarusian Culture in Iran were held. As part of the event, the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus, Honored Artists of Belarus V. Gromov and Y. Naumenko performed in Tehran, a viewing of Belarusian films was organized.
In 2005, 2010 and 2011, the Days of Iranian Culture in Belarus were held, during which Minsk received 100 cultural figures of Iran: masters of handmade carpets, theater actors, masters of Iranian dance, pantomime, calligraphy, folk costumes. Exhibitions of Persian carpets, Iranian painting and photography, as well as master classes on selected types of Iranian art were held.
Belarusian-Iranian contest of literary translation «Literary bridge»
On June 16th, 2019 Tehran hosted the solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the 1st Belarusian-Iranian contest of literary translation «Literary bridge» conducted under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
30 students of Iranian universities studying the Russian language and interested in the culture of Belarus have translated poems of Belarusian writers. The main winners of the competition got the opportunity to visit Belarus.
