Cooperation in science and technology

Belarus and Iran cooperate in the scientific and technical sphere on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran on scientific and technical cooperation.

Within the framework of scientific and technical cooperation Belarus and Iran operate throug the Joint Commission for Cooperation in the Field of Higher Education, Science and Technology.

The 8th meeting of the Joint Belarusian-Iranian Commission on cooperation in the field of higher education, science and technology was held on June 17, 2026 in Minsk.

Belarus and Iran continue their long-term work to conclude a Belarusian-Iranian intergovernmental agreement on the mutual recognition of education and training documents.

Direct cooperation between universities, research institutes, high-tech parks and other organizations of both countries is promoted.
