Ambassador participates in Iran-Eurasia economic diplomacy forum

On January 27, 2021, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Islamic Republic of Iran Yuri Lazarchik took part in the Iran-Eurasia economic diplomacy forum organized by the Tehran Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Following representatives delivered speeches during the opening ceremony: Masoud Hansari, the head of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Reza Ardakanian, the Minister of Energy of Iran responsible for interaction with the EAEU under the Interim Agreement leading to the formation of a free trade zone, Seyyed Rasul Mohajer, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran for Economic Diplomacy, Hamid Zadbum, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade and Head of Trade Promotion Organization and Deputy Minister of Economy and Mehdi Mirashrafi, Finance, Head of the Iranian Customs Organization.

The ambassadors of the EAEU member states — Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia also attended the forum and answered the most pressing questions on the cooperation of the EAEU countries with Iran.

At the forum, discussion panels were organized that touched upon the topics of banking and financial transactions; logistics and transportation; rules, requirements and obligations of the future free trade agreement; cooperation in the fields of agriculture and food, construction and engineering, IT, industry and energy.
