History of the Embassy

On September 20, 1996 the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus № 621 «On the opening of the Trade Representation of the Republic of Belarus in the Islamic Republic of Iran» was adopted.

On May 23, 1997 Trade Representation of the Republic of Belarus in the Islamic Republic of Iran appeared.

On December 5, 1997 the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus № 1608 «On the transformation of the Trade Representation of the Republic of Belarus in the Islamic Republic of Iran into the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Islamic Republic of Iran» was adopted.

On March 6, 1998 the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Islamic Republic of Iran was officially opened during the visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
